Device Level Ring (DLR) Networks

When a PROFINET device level ring network is being detected by IntraVUE™ it be will graphed using the LLDP protocol with a trailing loop half-round circle shape going from the last device to the first device following the physical arrangement of the physical ring.

The ring master will be the one to decide how to reorder devices when the ring breaks, or it may leave the ring in the current state until it breaks again. If you go into the ring master, there will be RSTP ring options for what the ring is supposed to do when the rings breaks and gets restore.

IntraVUE simply shows the path of the packets across all the ring devices from the last device to the first device on the ring.
