IntraVUE 2 has been designed to work with a low power computer.
512 MB of memory is required for less than 128 nodes, 1 GB up to 256 nodes, and 2 GB for more than that.
IntraVUE has been tested and certified on Windows 2000, Windows Server 2000, Windows XP Pro SP 2 and SP3,
Windows Server 2003, and Windows 7. Windows Vista is not certified or recommended.
When installing on Windows 7 ALWAYS choose a folder outside Program Files to avoid read-only file permission problems.
We recommend a folder such as C:\IntraVUE.
We also recommend Firewall software and Virus Scanning software be disabled/turned off during the installation.
You can turn it back on when the installation completes and allow the various services installed by Intravue permission to run.
If you install on a Server based system, you MUST use the Add Programs function of Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs.
The C:\MySQL folder must be excluded from being backed up or analyzed by virus checking programs.
The programs will lock critical, large files and cause the mysql service to stop if it cannot access certain files
for longer than a few seconds.
Should this occur, restarting the msyql service always works, but there will be no IntraVUE data collected
while MySql is stopped.
